PSD2 regulation has obliged European banks to open their APIs to Third Party Providers, which brings a big shift in banking. We consider this a great opportunity to collaborate with FinTechs and startups and expand the services we offer our customers.

The OP Request to Pay API allows businesses to experiment with a different way to collect payments that is based on requesting payments instead of sending an invoice. The API focuses on the billing process. It always returns a verification of successful payment. Our goal is to help billers to discover potential use cases and identify possible blockers in payment collection processes.
We are not currently planning production use with OP Request to Pay API. We look forward to getting feedback on how Request to Pay would fit into your payment collection process.

The API helps your company avoid those situations by checking the payee account information is valid before you even initiate a payment. OP Corporate International Payment Tracking API provides your company with up-to-date tracking information regarding your international payments. You can automate the tracking of payments and integrate the solution with your company’s existing systems. The API allows you to see each step of the payment from debiting to crediting to the beneficiary in real time. If your payment fails, the API alerts you immediately. This way, you always know the status of your payments. If there is a problem with a payment, you can act right away and avoid your business processes slowing down because of it. The service is available for Swift GPI payments that are sent via OP. You can make the payment in any of OP's channels (for example, the Web Services channel or any of OP’s digital services, such as <a href="https://op.fi">op.fi</a>).

We are not onboarding new users for this API in the sandbox or in production.

OP FX Fixing Rates API allows you to retrieve European Central Bank (ECB) counter currency fixing rates. In cases where the ECB has not published a fixing rate, an equivalent middle rate through OP is returned.
The fixing rates should only be used for such purposes as accounting valuation. The service cannot be used for commercial customer transactions.
Currently the API is in the development phase, so any feedback you may have at this stage would be most welcome. The comments and questions may be sent to <a href="mailto:corp-payment-APIs@op.fi">corp-payment-APIs@op.fi</a>.
